Us men rlly do create our own problems, don’t we? The male loneliness epidemic, the education gender gap, possible World War III w/ a return of the draft.

Why would you post this in ask women? This is a question clearly directed at men. And no, we as individual men do not create most of these problems. These are a result of patriarchal standards of male behavior which are upheld through social conditioning and stigma.

Okay why are people so worried about WW3? It’s neigh impossible for that to occur again.

Okay, a big war. Iran is no Iraq. Much bigger in area and more populous. It also has the support of powerful allies.

I’m well aware of what’s happening. Everyone is forgetting the most important part which is nuclear weapons. They will never have a nuclear war. That would be a WW3. As for having a big war, despite Iran’s military and connections they will not go against the United States. To do so would be foolish. We are in NATO. If they attack the United States in any way shape or form despite our president? They will act and go to war. No one is foolish enough for it.

I do understand the fear but the world wars happened under very specific circumstances. Fearing a war is understandable. Fearing for you life because of this? That is not necessary.

I’m not worried abt Iran attacking us directly, I’m worried abt our response to any Iranian retaliation for our strikes. Trump is unpredictable. He’s in a politically precarious position, much like Netanyahu, who likewise has disproportionately responded to threats and governed as an authoritarian. The uncertainty is what is scary.

Oh absolutely. I won’t deny that he is an unpredictable man. That’s his whole brand. He is an awful human who is attempting to be an authoritarian dictator. And yes Netanyahu is in a politically… difficult position shall we say. But they are directly at war. The issue with America is within it currently. There will not be enough agreement for war.

I’m sure I will be. I live in the dc area. I’ve gotten worked up about these things my entire life. I have learned that fearing for the worst will never help. Be aware of what’s going on, but don’t allow it to infect you. I know it’s much easier said than done. I’m dual majoring in Poli sci because of that. But I believe with absolute certainty there will not be a draft or a huge war or anything like that.

That’s not what audience captured means. Just say u get ur news from X.

So who changes that? It’s us as men, is it not? We’re the ones who perpetuate “patriarchal standards of male behavior.”

No, that’s not accurate 💀. Audience capture is where a content creator is forced to cater to certain views based on the audience they’ve built up.

No, but I’m self-aware. Times are changing whether we like it or not. We can adapt or die

Yea, but u apparently don’t know how to write then 😭💀. Cuz ur saying #4 has the views that he does bc CNN reflects his own views. That’s a circular argument lol.

I’m referring back to ur original usage, which still doesn’t make sense given ur correction. Ur right that there is a circular aspect of ppl’s relationship to media, but that isn’t the concept of audience capture.

If we can’t agree on this, there’s no way we’re agreeing on larger issues here. I can see why u vote the way u do w/ ur reasoning skills.
