it’s definitely okay to ask! especially in the context of the situation, she knows you’re buying her a shirt so it’s not just you asking what size she is for no reason. if you don’t want to, id say a medium is a safe bet. personally, id be more offended if i was a size small and somebody got me a large than if they simply asked what size i wore bc then its like.. oh so you think im big huh ? LMAO

this!! i’d also suggest prefacing it with, “hey i’m getting your shirt right now and wanted to check wht size you are so it fits right” when you do buy the shirt
