Absolutely. That’s like 80% of my friendships. I am of the opinion that if two people are single and they happen to have rly good chemistry they will probably date cause it makes sense. But if one of them is in a relationship already then definitely cause they won’t be looking. Also I’ve met many many guys I have a TON of platonic chemistry with but no romantic, so even if everyone is single it can definitely still end up being just platonic

Yes and no. While some relationships can stay platonic, others will be sexual as the parties grow comfortable with each other.

It’s really sad to think otherwise. Esp when you’re older. My parents have lots of great friendships with the other sex. Most of them are all married and just all friends with each other.

I mean you’re implying that the only reason someone would be friends with another person of the opposite sex is if they had romantic or sexual motives Do you assume that straight men are attracted to all women on earth and vice versa? That would make everyone incestuous

I’m not factoring in attraction and sexual stuff as much as you think I am. I think it’s just overall much more difficult to form a real ride or die friendship with the opposite sex due to a long list of social norms and customs

Like for example I entered a friend group and I had crazy romantic chemistry with a guy so we just went for it. But all the other guys? They have become some of the most important people in the world to me. I relate to some of them better than some of my girlfriends. People are just people at the end of the day. No where near as different as we are made out to be
