I think you should bring it up but in a sly way like how do you feel about our relationship? When do you feel is the right time to talk about marriage? Talk around it cause maybe he didn’t mean to say it or said it in the heat of the moment and might be embarrassed if you aren’t (which you are) on the same page

we don't, but we spend 4ish nights a week at each others' homes

Definitely talk about it, but my advice is to live together for at least a year before even getting engaged. You learn a lot from living together and dealing with finances as a couple
