Do you guys agree that “being shallow” is practically biologically engrained in us? Having standards about physical attraction is to make sure our offspring has the best ability to number 1, survive, and number 2, be able to reproduce.

Personality is my top priority so no. I don’t care how attractive a person is. If they’re an asshole I would never date them

this is basically just nature vs nurture and the answer is basically always both. yes bc evolution we find certain things more attractive, but a ton of what we find attractive also depends on social environment. but i dont think that wanting to be attracted to your partner physically and emotionally = being shallow

God why u guys being so rude, I was talking ab nature vs nurture and how big of a role nature takes on our subconscious which will influence our ACTUAL decisions. Get ahold of urself, even if u don’t want kids, ur still biologically wired to have kids

I’m a woman with a vagina lol, someone kept posting on here about women being “shallow” and the more I thought ab it, the more it made sense to me that women biologically should be “shallow” or has less to do with looks and more to do with our body knowing if our immune systems are opposites to create well rounded offspring

That’s still biological, you want a man who would be safe to be around and protect your children. Even if you don’t want kids, your brain is still wired to search with a man with children in “mind”

I think we just dont realize WHY we things attractive that we do. Our brain is completely emotional and we create logic AFTERWARDS to back up why we feel that way as a justification. The chemicals in our brain controls everything. Think about how when women are on birth control they might find one man attractive and once they get off they don’t find him attractive anymore. It’s not true 100% of the time in that specific scenario but it’s an example of how much our hormones truly do control.

Remember that “love” is just chemicals in our brain. We don’t control that. Haven’t you fallen for someone you didn’t logically want to? Maybe they had a girlfriend and you couldn’t act on the feelings but you still felt that way for some reason

I mentioned if you don’t want kids lol. I think it’s normal to be gay and an adaptation to prevent overpopulation that just happens naturally to our brains, probably similar instincts but for a different “motivation.” I’m not talking ab any conscious motivation, I’m talking ab what happens BEFORE a conscious decision, that split moment where it’s just emotion

I’m literally a different person but there’s no way to prove it lol, I’m just bored and starting conversation. I have a boyfriend and am pregnant with his baby. My first period I thought I shit myself bc it was brown😛 at 12 btw, I feel like that’s a very niche unspoken ab women experience😂

Why do you think pedophiles exist then? Just curious

Anonymous replying to -> #1 1d

It’s natural for men to be attracted to slightly younger girls (im saying able to consent younger girls) so they have the most amount of time to breed with them, but pedophiles are basically when their brain goes TOO far with that. It’s a biological anomaly in my opinion & genetic mistake. I feel like there are many more pedophiles walking amongst us who just choose to do the right thing and not act on it. These are just opinions though, not necessarily fact

You can choose not to have kids, but the reason you’re getting your period every month is because your body wants kids. There are involuntary biological things that happen to promote having children ( hence getting horny during ovulation.) now take it a step further, you can physically see your period and it’s proof that your body is setting you up for children. What about the chemicals in your brain that create “love”, are they choosing a partner for you that would be good for raising kids with

How DOESNT it work hand and hand with fertility? Tf that’s the whole reason we bleed is clean out the old baby house and make a new one for the next potential baby
