the concept of fetishizing people confuses me a little bit. my biggest rule is that its not okay if theres no consent. so when i see women who wear clothes that are skin tight and really accentuate the butt or boobs, i have a tendency to look..moreso

i mean fetishization is different than just general attraction tho, fetishization crosses into dehumanization/objectification. idk! if you see a beautiful woman and ur not actually bothering/harassing her idt there’s necessarily anything wrong. like it’s not illegal to think a woman is hot/sexy/beautiful/pretty/cute etc.

It’s not wrong to notice something but don’t stare or anything. The beauty standard is high because companies make money off of people feeling shitty about themselves. It’s not enough to make you feel bad about how other people see you, they want you to see yourself as disgusting and needing to change. They invent insecurities and once people start to conform enough where they’ve sold their trainings, supplements, surgeries, etc. they swing the other way so you have to pay even more.

i just dont know how okay looking is considering wearing clothes doesnt imply consent. so at what point is it okay to look? never? these are pants that engineered to be complimentary to a butt. the pants obviously dont invite harassment or flirtation of any sort, thats not what im saying. if i can never look, then why is the beauty standard set at something unrealistic and why is it something weve fed into?

i wouldnt wanna makenpeople uncomfortable or creep them out. the best answer ive gotten was that a glance is okay, a double take may be a little much, all good as long as youre not staring🤔

That’s literally the answer, yeah. As long as you aren’t staring hard enough to make her feel uncomfortable I wouldn’t worry too much. Looking at people is normal, noticing beauty is normal, just don’t burn a hole into her with your eyes
