We have been talking through insta and now it says “Insta user”. It’s really hard to get over it but I was really interested in him and he seemed really interested in me. There was no fight, nothing weird said, just poof. Should I still pull up, should I ask his friend if he’s okay? Haven’t met the guy but have seen pics of them together so it might be weird, but I’m really worried

There are two possibilities: 1) he doesn’t like you, or 2) something has prevented him from reaching out; he got too busy, grounded, finals week, etc. If the first is true, I’m sorry to say but the only choice is to move on. If the second is true you could a) give him time and space, or b) text a bunch and potentially come off clingy. I think you’re best off with just giving him space, if he texts you back in like a week, great! If not, it’s okay and you didn’t shed tears over spilled milk.
