They r being classified as an unprofessional degree which means student aid will not help these woman or men but mostly woman finish school all ur nurses, therapist, and more look it up

Teacher education generally churns out lower iq grads on avg. look it up. we def don’t need a federal lot of them reinventing the educational wheel every 4 years. We need a dismantling of the bureaucrats to pay for superior teachers. As it stands now, kids are getting dumber and school is costing more. Its toast. Female dom industry is not adding value to society. (Lawyers, medical, education, SW, therapists, soft sciences, etc they’re all economic drains!) We need plumbers not art therapists!

I knew about this which would just fully move education as something up to the discretion of the states while transfering the responsibility of handling federal funding/loans for education to other departments such as the treasury. I see how you could see this as bad but this still has nothing to do with female dominated fields as a whole.

OK, let me break this down for you. These female dominant Majors that I’m telling you about are going to be classified as a nonprofessional degree so for nonprofessional degrees they get paid less than aid and loans you’re telling me healthcare professions aren’t professional education isn’t professional

I’m in entomology. Funding is tough in a lot of places I think, but at least my undergraduate entomology program has decent funding for undergrads.

This reclassification of professional degrees for the purposes of federal student loans(NOT aid) is separate from the full dissolution of the department of education.

The reason they are doing this is because the cost of things such as med/law/vet school are FAR more expensive than the cost to become a nurse/physical therapist/etc, so reasonably they get bigger loan caps(money they still have to pay back)
