Hiking, painting/drawing, reading, history, and I don’t usually watch much but I’m currently chugging through the walking dead with an unusual vigor
Literally any video game. Summoning Salt and ThaRixer are my favorite creators. “The Man Who Broke God of War in Half” has to be my favorite video

What do you like to paint/draw? I’m also interested but all I feel comfortable doing atm is drawing my hand

What instruments? And what are some of your favorite things to cook/bake?

AnonymousOP9w
I actually paint and draw a number of things but usually it’s landscapes, portraits, or animals. I don’t remember the last time I drew a hand lol
4
Anonymous#29w
Yea ig hands are pretty basic lmao. Landscapes would be what I want to do next. Any tips?

Is knitting/crochet more common than I think? My sister is into it too and I almost never hear anyone else say they’re into it so it’s a bit of a surprise to see someone mention it here

AnonymousOP9w
Nah hands are hard, I avoid doing them at all costs 💔.

As for tips what really helped me was doing master studies (I did a lot of van Gogh’s landscapes) and studying some of the fundamentals
4
Anonymous#29w
These were two studies of Van Gogh’s I did!

Ig im too inexperienced to even know that oops. Just want to move onto something that’s less literal

Really nice! Not sure what it is but the sky you made in the second one is the kind of thing that makes me want to paint things like this

Impressionism, expressionism or some forms of abstract art could be a good place to start! It can help a lot with composition and color palettes

It’s way more common than you realize. Sure it’s seen as an old woman hobby but even at my small college there’s a club for it. There’s so many people who do fiber arts
