Okay so there’s this fascinating idea in gender studies, pretty much an oppression stacks. A black woman is more oppressed than a black man. At least he’s a man. A black woman is more oppressed than a white woman. At least she’s white. And a disabled black woman is more oppressed than all. A white man is never oppressed, he is a man and he is white. But a white woman is oppressed. You can’t believe in severe racial oppression and not believe in severe gender oppression.

Male genital mutilation is legal in the form of circumcision whereas women are protected against genital mutilation as of the law created in 1996. The fact that it remains legal to circumcise a boy is a violation of bodily autonomy and the equal protection clause. Not to mention men don’t have the right to vote or financial aid in college unless they sign up for the draft.

upvote 6 downvote

Anonymous replying to -> #2 3w

If an older woman exploits a boy and she becomes pregnant as a result, despite his inability to consent, he is still liable for paying child support. Men are often more hardly punished for identical crimes of women. If a man refuses the draft he will go to prison. There are 4x more male prisoners (who perform slave labor) than women. Even feminist theory accepts that everyone has systemic oppression in their own category. To believe that men never face oppression is a symptom of that oppression
