If anyone in here has POTS and they’re on disability for it how long did it take you to get disability? I’m thinking of applying for disability because this shit is so debilitating and I might have a separate disorder with my periods💔

Okay so I have looked into disability and it does take an extremely long time typically. At least 3 months at the barest of minimums. I highly suggest talking to your doctor because they’ll have the best advice for that

As long as it doesn’t take years I’m fine with that but yes I have a follow up doctors appointment on October 8th for blood work

It might take years. I’m not insurance and it’s awful to get disability in America.

I know :( it’s really awful but that’s just where our healthcare system is. You need to find someone to help advocate for you. A whole team would be helpful. Especially since disability is barely enough to live on anyways.
