Or could it be related to the evaluation that was made stating that raising 2 kids in the 2000/2010s was approximately the equivalent of raising 5 or 6 in the 1960s? It’s so much more expensive to raise children now. What a family could do with one income a family can barely do with two incomes now. I think there is a difference between sex the original post was talking about and declining birth rates that you have eluded to.
I never said anything about obsession and in fact I'm saying the opposite. Being sex focused is and always has been a natural and normal part of being a human for many people. Im sharing my opinion that it looks differently coming from women now because of our access to choices and freedoms we didn't have in the past. I don't believe its any more or less now than it always has been.
Surprisingly only 1 of the 16 died in infancy and 2 others passed together in a car accident in their early adult lives with the rest living into their 70’s or are still alive. All 14 on the other side survived until late adulthood or are still alive including my Grandma who is 89 and was the eldest child.
It's fascinating to me looking at the differences in families and number of kids over the years in my family line. The 14 and 16 were both on my moms side so is is her parents who were 1 of 14 and 1 of 16. My mom is 1 of 6. I am 1 of 1. I have 2 children and neither of them are planning to have any but that may or may not change in the future.
