I’m recently dating and she gets overstimulated often, what can I do when she is? I want to help not make it worse.

What’s the situation, usually I just need the person to be quiet and back up for a few minutes.

If it’s autism, there are several autistic people who post online about their experience. I find that helpful. They often can explain things like this to neurotypical people and suggest tools that they use to navigate human weirdness. My guess is autism. Many people are undiagnosed, so anyone could have it. Can’t say for sure because I’m no therapist and haven’t met her.

She has overstimulation issues? For me I put in my music, move to a quiet place and sometimes put on my headphones.

It’s an almost constant thing.

Oh, that’s odd, I think at that point you just need to ask her directly.

I was thinking the same thing, maybe she is on the boarder of autism, has anxiety, or even a hormone imbalance. Her mind may be busy and the slightest thing may get her irritable. Btw I think it is so sweet that you are wanting to help here out when she feels that way. I feel for her.

What type of thing gets her irritable? And how can you tell when she gets that way?
