As I stated before, they are affordable because the quality isn’t as good. Also you should be able to see how suggesting a short woman shop at a children’s store could be rude or insinuating something even if you don’t mean anything by it

Not usually helpful bc child sizes don’t really fit most women even short ones, the proportions may have fit your one friend buy it doesn’t fit many of us
