I’m talking in the sense that you stated you’re interested but your actions don’t show it if someone is pursuing you and if you’re not interested, you should just say that so that they can find someone else who is.

If I were in that situation I’d just stop pursuing them tbh, if they said they’re interested but not actually reciprocating I wouldn’t want to waste my time
