I’m not holding him back, there’s no other girl, but he wants to stop talking to mature and focus on himself, and do it alone. he said he thought he was ready for a relationship but realized he wasn’t and doesn’t want to keep hurting me. I tried to understand/work through it, but he still chose to leave. he also said he doesn’t want me to look at him differently. what do yall think. i’m just so sad abt it

he can’t pursue a relationship and a career fire fighting at the same time ? i’m calling bullshit. there’s more reasoning he left that he’s not telling you, but i’m guessing it’s not good. thats really frustrating and shitty, but i’d try to move on if i were you. def don’t spend any time waiting around for him.
