Because it’s one of the things that women find attractive yet it’s also one of the easiest things they can put each other down for. Like dick size. Most of the women I know don’t give a gaf about how tall a guy is (usually it’s just “it’s nice if he’s generally taller”) but I’ve met maybe one person who actually was like “6 foot and above only”

Bc it’s a huge point of insecurity for people on the short end of the bell curve. People will say it doesn’t matter just like they’ll say being overweight doesn’t matter, but ultimately if someone is very overweight or very short they’re seen as less attractive to most people. Which is tough because you can’t change your height.

Men do this with women, too. Flat, fat, chopped, whatever. They think insulting a woman’s body is the way to cut deep, while women usually insult character flaws or bad habits. It’s like I got with a guy who had a really bad hairline, but I always shat on how he kept a Tupperware container I let him borrow for a month unwashed and in his fridge for a MONTH. Cause that was more embarrassing than a little bald spot!! Idgaf about your male pattern baldness baby wash your dishes!!
