Eat more food! I aim for 2500 calories to 3000 a day in order to keep up my weight (I was really really small going up.) Weight lifting can help only if you have the fat to turn into muscle. So I lost weight when exercising. Eat healthy foods but just eat more of them.

Eat food… exercise will help, but EATING more will provide the most significant changes

As long as you eat enough while lifting you’ll gain weight

Yeah that didn’t work for me. I nearly dipped under 100 pounds at 17. I was 102 and it took me 7 months to gain the weight back. I was eating more calories, somewhere between 3500 ish. Some people just can’t immediately go to lifting.

I do yeah. Typical advice doesn’t work for everyone. Lifting was extremely harmful for me and while it is an unlikely situation, I wanted to share how I gained weight

If you just eat a bunch while starting an intense work out regiment, you might burn out. Be gradual
