I feel like flowers is a classic, would giving her a skincare cream she likes be too weird?

Really depends on the person. All women are different. I don’t like flowers as they don’t last while my bestie loves flowers and grows her own plants

I’d just ask her!! If a guy told me he wanted to do something thoughtful for me and wanted to make sure he got me something I’d actually like I’d melt! My boyfriend does this for me and it’s always gets to me!!

Don’t buy a woman anything for a first date waste of money the gift is the fact you’re already paying

Is paying for the date not a gift?

It is, imo first dates shouldn’t assume one person will be paying unless discussed and no one owes someone a gift, but clearly this guy WANTS to give a gift to this girl he likes and you’re pessimism and negativity is contributing nothing

I don’t believe buying a woman a gift on a first date is smart statistically it is likely to be a waste of money which is more important long term

Cool! Then don’t buy her a gift! Clearly OP, someone with anatomy, wants to buy her a gift and isn’t asking on advice if she SHOULD but on WHAT gift he should buy ^^

I’m just suggesting he doesn’t is that not allowed?

Ofc! But there’s more respectful ways to do it than telling him the nice gesture he wants to make is a waste of time and money. You’re also being very very pessimistic assuming this date won’t work out!

The majority of first dates do not lead to a relationship that is simply a fact
