If you could be inside of an jncels shoes what’s one thing you think you could understand more about their experience?

Nothing. When you reach incel level you likely aren’t wanting help but to spread hate and you do it to yourself. That’s prob the only thing I’ll understand. That it’s self inflicted. Plenty of single ppl do not become incels

this to me is like saying “if you were in a nazis shoes what would you understand about them” ummm nothing because i would literally never be a nazi??😭😭

I honestly wouldn’t. There’s nothing that can be said to help them because they don’t want to be helped.

Because women occupy the subordinate position in a patriarchal gender hierarchy, they have stronger incentives to study men than men have to understand women (or even themselves). Women are also more inclined towards empathy bc we are biologically predisposed to attune to babies and children to a greater degree than men are. So on the whole, women already understand this stuff

Incel culture comes from incels. Incel culture is not the defining feature of the term

Which is still very much a self inflicted thing. You choose to listen to redpill, anti women rhetoric to make yourself feel better about your lack of a sex life. Normal ppl do not resort to that

Incel CULTURE is red pill anti women rhetoric. They are not defining features of the term.

What does that have to do with it’s still a part of being an incel and that the culture and term itself are both self inflicted causes caused by other miserable men

Im not an incel. But if nobody wants to fuck you but you still wanna have sex, that makes you by definition an incel… that’s the only thing that defines the term

The only thing that defines, the term is the fact that they cannot get laid despite wanting to. They don’t automatically hate women because of it they can however that is not a defining feature of it. I don’t know how many times I have to tell you that.

And yet plenty of ppl would love to have sex, that’s just human nature. Intimacy. The difference is they aren’t actively hating ppl bc they haven’t had sex. Bc they’re normal ppl

Many single people choose not to have sex. However, there are also many who want to have sex but can't find a willing partner. The latter group, by definition, are incels….that's all the term means, no more and no less.

Incel culture has nothing to do with the term itself. Just bc you’re not having sex yet you want to. Doesn’t mean you’re an incel. Bc that means every single person on the planet is an incel and that’s not statistically true. So again. Incels are self inflicted hatred ppl. Regular ppl are perfectly fine without sex despite not having it bc they’re not acting entitled to the action

If you want to get laid, but you can’t get laid despite wanting to get laid, that makes you an incel. That is the only defining feature of the term ….there are things that come after the term like the culture of people developed based on that term. But the culture does not defined the term.

Being an incel is a passive state (your romantic situation). Participating in incel culture is an active choice (engaging with the community and adopting its beliefs). The ideology is required for the culture, but not for the individual….

None of what you talked is relevant towhat an incel experiences. Undesirability… can you empathize with what that feels like?

upvote 1 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> OP 14h

It is relevant, but first let’s acknowledge that women feel undesired no less often than men do. The main difference is that women usually feel undesired relating to their personhood, in other words “who” they are rather than “what” they are. Men are more likely to reject women for long term romances, while women are more likely to reject men who only want hookups, which is to say men are being rejected for more surface level attributes (like appearance)

Anonymous replying to -> #7 14h

And if i said men are being rejected for both?

default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> #7 14h

…while women often find themselves in situations with men who are willing to sleep with them or maintain casual relationships, but don’t desire any more serious commitment (which is more of a rejection of the whole). But all of this is a sidebar to what I was talking about.

The research says otherwise. Women who are actively dating are significantly more likely than men to be exclusively seeking a committed relationship (41% vs. 25%), while men are more likely to be open to casual dating. So I’m not sure what evidence you’re basing the claim that men are more likely to be rejected for long-term relationships on, the data point in the opposite direction in terms of what men and women are actually seeking
