Get this in your head: “ the problem is not YOU vs HIM. It’s YOU AND HIM vs the problem” This mentality will get your relationship through almost anything

communication is key, seriously. honesty is paired with communication. respect the other person and understand that you're a team. if you ever get in an argument, it's okay to step away and take a breather. number one is right. maintaining your friendship is just as important as intimacy. you want to ensure you're meeting your partners needs and vice versa.

Don’t let anger get bottled up and resentment grow. Address problems head on early before they grow into something bigger!

Respect yourself and your boundaries. Do not suck up to men just to please them.

have boundaries and know ur standards ahead of time, make sure he meets those before you get attached, and don’t get caught in the sunk cost fallacy

This! I’ve been in a handful of relationships over the past year and I’ve learned that a good partner is supposed to support you, not try to fight against you. Prime example, I’ve been with my bf for going on 4 months and he’s already insisting that he help support me financially through college. Despite my constant stressing that he didn’t have to do that he insists
