i think parents who exploit their kids online should absolutely be looked into but like idk if making it illegal for children to be on the internet in any context would actually help. especially when there’s still kids on TV and in other forms of media, like for example content made specifically for kids that features other kids. and unfortunately creeps are gonna find a way to be creeps regardless

I think it should be looked at when parents exploit kids for monetary value. But making children illegal to be posted seems a little weird since not every parent is posting their children for any gain. And then there are children in media so it would have to ban all live action child media in general, or when a child is posted to an elementary school’s page during like a science fair or something

This would be really hard to make a rule but I agree. You as an adult understand the risks of being posted online and can consent to them, but children can’t
