If you accidentally posted something on social media with your home address would you no longer feel safe at your home (inspired by a man i follow who did the same thing and because of male privileges is not scared for his safety)?

Yes and I’d feel guilty and be concerned for everyone else who lives here too

nah I’ve been doxxed several times before and people have threatened to come to my house and harm me and my family but they never did it so it’s probably fine

I chose not to have a roommate for the second half of college because I pissed off some bad people and didn’t want to get anyone else hurt. I carry a knife and train martial arts. Pissing off bad people will probably be a lifelong thing for me because I cannot ignore bullying when I see it and just have to step in. So yeah, ima learn to defend myself. And I definitely would never share my address on social media.

Yeah, (TW) someone threatened to 🍇 me, probably just to mess with my bf. I asked about that person’s weight, and it turned out he was tiny. Have full confidence I could take him even if he was serious. If I ever do meet him in person, I will bring up the threat in front of a large group of people to shame him. Gotta discourage that behavior.

I’ve tried to stand up for myself and people on social media and that pisses people off a LOT. In a way we are similar because I try to be cyber-secure (use throwaway emails for all accounts, never real names, etc) as a way to protect myself

I’ve learned that my number is actually attatched to a random 30 year old woman and my last name isn’t public or attatched to my social media

And no one should be finding my number from social media anyways
