Personally that’s a red flag. I get having characters you really like or identify with but when your life starts to center around them to the point where you are investing that much time and money because you are sexually attracted to them it becomes weird.Especially considering his age.The fact that he chose you and has pointed out the similarities suggests you are (for lack of a better phrase) the closest he can get to “the real thing”. This is different than having a type, it’s an obsession.

Girl run. I’ve never in my life seen someone that obsessed over an anime, anime isn’t bad but if it got to that level that’s a very unhealthy and unstable man.
