They already have rules to either A ban trans women from participating in women’s sports or B to make sure it’s still even in regards to things like hormone levels. This is a basically made up issue to draw away from things that are actually harming women and to give people in power talking points to remain in power.

not every question asked here involves you- if you don’t care then you don’t have to answer. many people have stronger opinions!

Dumbass you would just draft the minimum required and bench them the entire game

usually there’s a requirement for a minimum number of both genders to be on the field at a given time

To a certain extent, yes. I think it helps keep our current system of higher level sports fair, however I do think there’s most definitely another compromise to be made. I just don’t know if it will be because I think most of those solutions end up being changing our current system, that people like, and there’s so few trans athletes already that I don’t think it’s enough of an issue for people yet

theres already mountains of evidence pointing to how puberty blockers affects muscle mass and reduces testosterone that, when put to the test, do not affect the overall advantage of sports with trans women. I asked to assess, yes, but my own personal feelings are that saying no or that there is nuance to this conversation captitulates to the conservative class that trans issues shouldn’t be taken seriously and just exist to sweep under the rug. Right to Play = Right To Exist

And let’s be real, the biggest issue women face in the US is obviously not trans women, it’s cis men. If they’re really so concerned with women’s wellbeing, I’d love to see them start talking about how the US accounts for 70% of femicide in wealthy countries or the SA/rape rate against women. Those are my main concern, it’s just extremely obvious they don’t care about women, they simple don’t like trans people

I never mentioned puberty blockers btw. The tests that are done measure the percent of testosterone vs estrogen, which in itself is flawed as each individual has their own levels to said hormones. And I’m saying it’s a complete non issue when compared to, first, the number of trans women trying to compete with said testing, and, second, the rest of the issues women face that aren’t being addressed AT ALL

Exactly, so it should be obvious that they should be allowed to play to begin with.

Obvious is a strong word for a complicated issue, but yes I feel as though they should be allowed to play under the current rules until we find something better

I in fact never said that, I believe I said they should be allowed to play under the current system

But it does involve me as I have an opinion and am a woman. My opinion is that I really don’t care if they join or don’t join. If you don’t want actual opinions why even ask?
