Yes, when I experienced this moment, I will break down in tears of joy penguins have been my favorite animals since I was eight years old. I watched happy feet almost every night, and I wanted to be a zoologist when I grew up now I’m a biology major
does anyone have random moments of pure joy where they want to cry

Some of them can’t go into a natural environment because they are rescues and they can’t live on their own

Do you research on penguins before you say anything and research the environment they are in. I can guarantee you. They are treated very well at the St. Louis, Missouri zoo

Never said they don’t belong in the wild while Yikyak people are stupid The ones who weren’t able to live in the wild should be able to thrive and live a good life in a conservation with a suitable environment also endangered species should be protected and animal. Conservation can help that.

But you can usually tell how good the animals are treated just based on the way they look if you look at the case of West Coast game park in Oregon that was terrible

Some animals have to live in captivity, but it depends on the type of environment on whether it’s OK or not. People go through years of college just to be a zoologist. I can guarantee you a lot of these people care deeply about the animals. They have done years of research.

Without zoologists these penguins would be dead or never alive to begin with. Most animals captured for zoos are from captive breeding programs and rescue operations. Animals are reintroduced back into their natural habitats all the time. Can zoos exploit animals? Yes. Do all zoos exploit animals? No. The zoo admins must be profit driven because they are under funded (now more than ever) or else they literally cannot take care of their animals.
