Why are we debating the worse of two horrible things? I think the point they were making and that is often made is that killing *can* be justified (self defense) but rape is always a selfish act. Both things are horrible and yes the general murderer not doing it out of self defense is horrible no one is disagreeing.

As I non white woman whos grandmother is Okinawan. (So she faces both rape AND bombing as a child and young woman) i honestly don’t know which I would say is worse. Her dad was blown up. Her grandmother was raped to death.. she was raped to near death. Ultimately it was the rape, not the growing up in violence, that destroyed her mental health completely. Not that either of them was great for her. But ultimately the brutal of rape causes survivors complex and terrible trauma. Not everyone

All that to say. Bad news! People in third world countries get murdered AND raped. And it’s actually NOT straightforward to say which is worse. Which is why comparing them imo is stupid. Both obviously bad. The point main point of the OP is just that there can SOMETIMES be moral reasons for murder, the same cannot be said about rape. Which I do agree with, although I don’t believe that makes all cases of rape worse than all cases of murder. Just that justified murders have happened, never rape
