Idk. Doesn’t help that they’re the only person I had any romantic involvement with who actually respected basic boundaries. I’m putting all my energy into friendships and myself. Because that’s where all the humanity seems to be.

Accept that you are the do-er of your actions, not the controller of your results. Focus on doing your duty with purpose as the loving partner and don’t fret about what happens next because anything beyond your full effort and contribution is beyond your control

you genuinely have to wait it out. there's no fix, therapy doesn't always work, and it sucks. it took me 6 years of no contact while being suicidal over her. but i have bpd so this probably isn't the average experience
