It’s not morally wrong to have preferences. But racial preferences are absolutely rooted in racism. It’s not necessarily your fault you prefer certain race, it’s likely due to your upbringing and society. You can still date who u want.

That’s my problem with the whole situation originating from polisci/cool_intellectual. He stated his race preferences out of nowhere. No one asked him for that but he decided it was important. Then instead of being like “my bad” he tripled down and made multiple posts and polls trying to prove his point

Yes! I’m OP of the other post and completely agree. It is not wrong to have preference but it IS wrong if you broadcast that preference to everybody. Because why are you spreading negativity of a certain race? That is either based in hatred of that race, or carelessness enough to think you can discuss their attraction level as some sort of talking point.

Im confused, after reading the other post it doesn’t seem like he just “randomly broadcasted his racist reasons”. I understand this is a very passionate and sensitive topic for some people so it brings about strong emotions, but it’s important to clarify that he WAS asked several times to explained “specifically” why his preference is molded the way it is based on his lived experiences..
