Yes. Your first step should be learning how to be okay on your own. Needing a partner to be okay is a slippery slope into codependency which isn’t healthy.

Yeah, I’m aware I’m going down that path, unfortunately. I don’t really know how to self-regulate or where to start. It’s just felt easier to lean on him, even when I know it’s not helping in the long run
