Does anyone else hate the amount of support Lindsay Clancy is getting online? I don’t think it’s worth to set the feminist movement back to support a woman who killed 3 children.

I think the conversations involving the trial should be how can we prevent this from happening again and not proving her innocent

I’m not on top of it online, but I haven’t seen much support. At the very least, I don’t support her- murder is bad, and so on. I do think it raises an interesting point in that men commit most family annihilations, but it doesn’t get this level of coverage because it’s more expected. It’s a very fucked up view into how violence is expected from men, and so seen as more heinous in women because it’s ‘against their nature’. But yeah, murder bad, I don’t really care why she did it, fuck her

I would agree with you 90% of the time that if you have a mass shooter or violent criminal it’s almost going to be a man. But this situation she’s been martyred by many women on the internet.

Exactly when someone has psychosis, they aren’t themselves, but I also don’t think there’s really anyone actively supporting what she did off of socials, but what they are trying to do is say how can we fix this because psychosis is serious and gets ignored
