On the pill for four ish years, no period, not active. Pros: My hormones are regulated enough that I usually don't experience emotional highs or lows. I'm constantly horny (I think the BC keeps one phase of the cycle and I happened to get ovulation, so that's unfortunate.) Cons: I've heard if you're on BC too long reproductive organs can be negatively affected. In the US, BC is on the list of things to be banned/restricted/limited/priced up. Everyone is affected differently, talk w/doc.

I did it because I had super irregular periods and it definitely helps with knowing when you’re going to bleed which just gave me a lot of peace of mind. Side effect wise I lost all interest in sex until I switched to my new birth control and I gained ~30ish pounds? But I was underweight before so it might depend on that. It makes my periods so light I usually don’t use tampons anymore so for the first two periods I’d try to not use them to see what the new quantities of blood are.

My first day I had symptoms of “morning sickness.” I was really nauseous in the morning and threw up. Other than that I’ve had a smooth sailing journey on BC

I’ve been on it for about a year, the first couple of weeks I had an insane appetite (which is why I think some women gain weight) but I was able to get over that and now I feel perfectly normal. My periods are pretty light too which is nice

Personally, ive been on continuous hormonal birth control for endometriosis for 3-4 years now, and i havent noticed any major side effects. My appetite wasnt really affected, my acne got somewhat better, and i feel much better overall. Though, like i said, mine was for endometriosis, a condition that messed my body up pretty bad as a baseline lol

First BC I was on led to an emergency trip because it was a bad med for me and poor dosage. My doc listened and I switched quickly. My meds are for Endometreosis which is also why I'm not yet active. I can't think of anything else, but if you have questions I'm open to answering.

When i asked my gyno about if continuous hormonal birth control had long term negative effects, she said it wasnt a significant risk. I also take BC for endometriosis so she mightve meant it was a lesser risk than letting my endometriosis go untreated though

It could also depend on the type of BC and a persons medical history too

Very true! My doc didn't mention it but I haven't experienced any issues and I made it clear I didn't want kids so I didn't mind permanent reproductive issues.

I will say that when i do pause BC to have my period every few months, the periods are very painful again. Nowhere near as heavy as they were still, but especially crampy. Aside from that though, it saves me a lot of stress in the long run (not in debilitating pain for 1 week a month+)
