it’d be nice to, but it all depends on where i am and who im with at the point that i’d feel ready to. plus im lined up with a lot of potential autoimmune disorders that i feel like i should get tested for before i potentially pass anything on to

I want kids but with being obese and having pcos, it might not be in the cards for me, even though i'm taking steps to lose the weight. I'm just not sure if my health can handle labor and delivery 😔

it’s unnatural for a women to not desire having children given that’s what our bodies are designed to do (I understand some women unfortunately have fertility issues)

That’s how I feel as a guy, but if u look at this same poll in Ask Men rn, even more men than women are saying they want kids. Which is surprising to me—figured it’d be the other way around.

To me that makes perfect sense bc they’re not the ones who are pregnant or giving birth so ofc it sounds more appealing. And they’re usually not the ones waking up in the middle of the night and changing diapers and all that stuff most often realistically

I think you did. It’s not psychologically proven that humans are meant to want kids. Kids have always been a free will conscious decision that not everybody wants. Otherwise the world would be overly populated bc ppl would pop out with babies with every thought of a child in mind

i think you’re arguing for the idea of survive/reproduce being the end goal of all living things. i think when talking about humans, especially, this gets a little more complex because of consciousness, life experience, societal pressures, ect. even then, individuals in a population still make careful decisions about reproduction and partners in many species. while there are things like hormones programmed into us through evolution, a lot of ppl still don’t want kids. i hope this makes sense.

well yes because women having kids have to commit way more. for moms it’s a full time job in most cases
