The stakes are lower for you is what I mean, you have a endless supply of potential partners where dudes are lucky to get a date most the time (unless this guy is some top notch hotness which In that case he’s prob got a endless supply too. His lab partner might not like him you don’t know, if you get rejected I promise there’s plenty of other guys who might even be better. Plus women act like it’s creepy or wrong if a guy makes the first move nowadays so he’s prob not gonna gonna shoot at all just to dodge the risk of anything backfiring
