I want to go to Chicago soon (literally the state above us) but unsure how she’ll react. I also want to go out the country for my 23rd birthday and have no clue how she’ll respond

Keep doing it, she’ll eventually have to get use to it since you’re an adult

As someone who did something similar to this… just buy the ticket go, it may make her freak out and wtvr but yk u have ur own life to live, safe travels!

the state above you shouldn’t be a problem if you went to hawaii right? just remind her how you were safe and responsible last time, and that you’re only a few hours away in case something happens. and ig deal with the international travel later 😭

Tell her that ur an adult and that ur leaving. Don’t answer her if she calls 5x a day, just remind her before u go that ur an adult making adult decisions and, while she might not like u traveling, it’s not like u can stay with her forever. Her feelings r hers to get under control and should not control ur life in this way
