i mean it depends the context. if it’s randoms on the internet you should just block them and move on. if it’s someone you care about in your personal life i think it’s worth the time to talk about how patriarchy creates unrealistic and dangerous expectations for what straight relationships are supposed to look like. obvi tailor to the person but there isn’t really a quick quipy way to discuss a very complex social force and systemic structures
women are not a monolith! they hate when you say that. and truthfully, you can’t argue with people who are deep in the manosphere worldview or get people out of belief systems they aren’t ready to let go of. i’d try planting seeds of doubt (“is that true?” “do the people posting about that even try anymore?” “whatever you say man, whatever”) and backing off. don’t stand for individual misogynistic moments but recognize that you can’t change the worldview yourself unless you get really lucky
Personally I’m not what most people would call attractive imo (not a ton of defined masc features, not any woman’s “ideal man”) and even I’ve had plenty of women find me worth talking to (both interested and just friends). So my personal experiences don’t really reflect what these men say. And when I tell men I’m lowkey not very attractive, just have a decent personality, they just say “oh ur still in the top 10% anyway” or whatever unsubstantiated bullshit they heard on Reddit.
most lonely men are lonely because they lack life skills & women are able to support ourselves without them, so most women want a man on his personal merits (equal partnership, skills, looks, thrill maybe money sometimes lol) but we no longer NEED men. women are operating on want. attraction is weird & unpredictable. there is nothing manosphere assholes can do about it
I basically tell men literally the women they are upset at are the way they are because they are just a symptom of the patriarchy. If you want to get upset at women for dating a creep and not you, maybe consider why she’s doing it and then advocate against rxpe, SA, sexualization of women and kids, women’s inequality, child abuse etc.
If you tailor your comments they work better. Once told a dude his corona was “basic bitch beer” because he was hitting on both me and my freshly 18 (I’m older) cousin at the same time. It might’ve not landed exactly perfect because I was very tipsy on margs but it’s still funny and I will use it again with a craft ipa in my hand someday (I hope). I’m a beer snob but only use my powers against douche canoes that try to look cool.
Yep, much to the mystery of many of my friends facial scaring doesn’t really phase me at all, and if it’s a straight scar (rather than a burn or acne pockmarks) I tend to find it a really attractive feature but other scarring doesn’t usually detract from someone’s physical attractiveness to me. I do have a huge thing for bone structure though. And my brain pumps out happy juice when I’m shorter than someone.
