this is so true. i don’t expect these things but i DEFINITELY notice if a guy does them. i still remember the first time i went on a date with a guy who opened all the doors for me, i was in shock lmaoo. after dinner he asked if i would be down for ice cream and had a place within walking distance already picked out, i was so impressed at the simple fact that he planned ahead

such a long way!! because most guys don’t do that. i came home to my roommate GUSHING about him, it was the best date i had ever been on literally just because he did a little bit more than others. we definitely notice the little things!

i’ve always driven myself luckily! the only time i didnt was my first ever date (I KNOW) and the guy i was most recently seeing but that was because i didn’t have my car at all and needed ride but i trusted him!

I always expect if the guy is asking me on a date he will pay for it (especially since he’s planning it out or picking the restaurant) because don’t pick an expensive restaurant if you can’t afford it? And what if he picks an expensive restaurant and makes you split it? That’s probably more money than you were expecting to pay being TAKEN on a date. After the first date, it’s nice to offer to do something for them and pay for all of it yourself. Just to make things mutual.

he lived too far away :( that was another sweet thing he did, choose a place near me bc he had a car and i didn’t. but i felt bad about how hard it was to see each other (specifically that he would have to be the one to make the drive pretty much every time) and also our future goals weren’t super aligned, so unfortunately it didn’t work out

Out of curiosity, how do you handle a flower handoff, if she drove herself? Cuz I feel like they’re gonna be cooked in a hot car by the time she gets back to them if I meet her at the car? Are we at a gesture that counts phase? Idk. Trying to be practical and meaningful 🤷‍♂️

Wherever you meet, they’ll be sitting out and out of water the entire time you’re together, so if they’re gonna wilt they’ll wilt. It’ll be okay, it’s really the gesture that counts and is appreciated

It’s mainly the thought and principle. If you get to the restaurant early enough go in get a table set the flowers down and then go get her OR when you get her just tell her you can bring the followers in if you’d like
