Question on hair- I have straight ish hair. And I’m losing a lot. Would it be better and healthier if I went back on the curly/wavy journey would it give me my hair back or would I lose more

you could be losing hair for a lot of reasons but messing with your hair like a lot of heat or tools and products can definitely weaken your hair and contribute to that problem. i’d say try to do as little as you can to it and also eat really well and make sure you’re healthy

sorry i’m confused, what’s your natural hair pattern? and what do you normally do to your hair to change the texture?

Idk how to explain this but like my natural pattern changes like as a kid it used to be super puffy. Now when I shower the hair goes kinda wavy. But when it dries it’s semi straight. If I put like curl cream and salt spray it’s wavy. I don’t need heat. Normally bc I brush it it’s straight ish

And the inner pieces close to neck are curly wavy and if I workout the baby hairs are curly

your hair is probably pretty wavy, but you brush them out when you brush your hair. again i’d say use minimal products and try to not wash your hair a lot if you are. i have pretty wavy hair and i’ll only brush my hair if i really need to detangle before a shower otherwise my hair will just get puffy. also your blood test can be normal and there might be stuff it’s not covering. i know my hair got so much healthier when i started eating more meat and more in general. better sleep as well

something a lot of people don’t know is that your hair is the first thing to go if anything at all is off. that includes issues with sleep, food, environment, stress, anything really

try not to brush it at all after showering. try to detangle in the shower gently, scrunch and dry with a cotton shirt or microfiber towel and then let air dry. that way you’ll get to see the state of your texture currently with no added product. also in the morning to refresh waves or curls, you can lightly add water and scrunch and let dry again. ofc people add lots of products but those are the basics
