Unrelated tip, you may want to reconsider calling yourself a bitch. There’s really nothing bad or unusual about feeling shy on dating apps, and there’s nothing about it lack of confidence that makes someone particularly feminine/female either.

In my case, I would be open to starting a conversation with a man either way, if I thought he seemed like a good prospect. But messaging first will help you get more attention compared to waiting for her to find you in a large pile of interested guys (who may be doing more).

I can get behind that I just have had bad experiences with the dating scene. I’m a bit awkward when interacting with women on dating apps and at my college campus. I do acknowledge that I was clingy and desperate and I’m trying to work on it. Still it’s a hard process for me and to some extent it scares me a bit.
