Beauty standards are fucked. I have been told my whole life I’m ugly and at some point you start to believe it. I was told I looked fat when I weighed 115 pounds

It’s 2 big things 1) we’re conditioned from very young to believe if we don’t fit a certain set of standards that we don’t count as pretty and 2) when we DO get confident about our looks we’re told that we need to humble ourselves

Our beauty standards are so fucked up. I was made fun of for being skinny and small when I was just a smaller girl before puberty. Were also taught from a very young age to change ourselves to meet the beauty standards.

Part of it is also a grass is greener on the other side thing. Even if my features are beautiful, I have an easier time seeing beauty in other people bc I’ve spent my life resenting my face (Chat is better now I actually love how I look I just had a phase)

I mean… are you actually seeing all women? Like genuinely. Men tend to just literally not notice women they view as unattractive. I’ve had people literally stop my friend on the sidewalk to flirt, then almost do a double take when they realize I’m also there.

It was actually people at the time. I was very heavily bullied for my chest, my looks and everything along those lines. I was also bullied on the internet, getting hate comments and views on a instagram video that harassed me.
