simply doing things that align with gender stereotypes isn’t internalized misogyny. if a woman wants to take on a more traditional role in the household because that’s just what she wants, that’s fine. if she wants to do that because she thinks that’s all women are good for and that other women should do the same, that is sexism. it’s not really about gender stereotypes at the end of the day, the root of it is feeling inferior in some aspect solely because of your gender
I completely agree. It’s more about whether the roles that people play are projected onto other people as well. That would be what makes it sexism. There’s a lot of people that don’t want to fall within the confines of a gender stereotype, but I think people should just be themselves and not push their ideas onto other people. That’s when it becomes an issue.
