If you grow up in a household full of conflict, it becomes normalized for you. People in these scenarios get used to the conflict and learn to expect it, sometimes even becoming comfortable with it. At that point, times of peace and tranquility can seem unfamiliar and strangely distressing, so they may feel more regulated or apt to respond in times of conflict like they’re more experienced with. Only true in some cases ofc, this absolutely doesn’t apply to everyone
