I feel sound in my mind about this. Why should I wait a month to reach out after a sudden break, especially when he’s obviously not doing well? Why can’t I just wait a week or less? It feels like playing games to wait longer

Now im not sure who broke up w who but either way my point still stands— when ppl break up, YOU R GOING TO BE HURT!! you are going to miss them!! duhhhhhhhh. you are 100% going to want to just talk to them, just see them, just hold them one more time. But you are feeling these emotions twice fold because you guys JUST broke up, and thats normal and expected. When ppl break contact after not giving it time shit like getting back together too soon happens, and truly missing someone isnt enough of-

My best friend, when I was asking for advice, bc I was like why can’t I text him this week, like he’s obviously going through it and I’m going through it, and even if I say this is the most level headed and clear minded thought process I’ve had about someone, I don’t think she believes me in like an “oh you poor thing you don’t know what you’re talking about” way and she still is like “NO! Give it a month and then think about talking to him again.”

a reason to get back together, change is the reason. You guys clearly didnt work out in the end and u guys r both obviously gonna be upset over losing each other. But what good does reaching out do? Just to know? People say give it a month bc ur emotions are raw and high rn, give it a month to process, missing him and wanting to make sure he is ok is a natural feeling but u both need space rn if u guys chose to break up. In a month u will not feel so intensely as u do right now

it is quite frankly more “playing games” for u guys to break contact when emotions r so high and ur more likely to act on a whim then to do the mature thing and let both of u process what happened, what ur feeling, and what to do next
