Is it true that washing women's private areas with soap is unhealthy because it's self cleaning? Isn't there gunk and stuff that builds up since it's such a probiotic environment?

No washing your downstairs area isn’t unhealthy to do. You should still be cleaning down there in some way even if it’s self cleaning. It self cleans internally not externally. The outside still needs to be washed. I used sensitive skin soaps or un scented down there

It’s self cleaning. That takes away the gunk and stuff like you said.

you can clean it but only with PLAIN UNSCENTED soap. and only on the outside.

But it is bad to use normal soap, you just need water or a gentle unscented soap if you really want

Not on the outside. Just the inside. Only cleaning with water doesn’t do much

Yeah ofc you should be washing the outside as in actual like mound with soap but everywhere else you just need water

I mean everything else just drink water. But the outside still harbors sweat and bacteria which needs soap to clean. You don’t put soap up the inside. But the lips and vulva yeah use soap. I like un scented and sensitive skin for mine for the really sensitive area

I also don’t use harsh cloths? I feel like it makes ingrowns appear faster. I’ll usually go with a really lathered hand or a baby wash cloth that’s softer

So you're not supposed to clean the inside at all? What if it smells or tastes bad and your bf wants to go down on you

That’s what diet is for. I mean it’s a vagina. It’s gonna smell like vagina. As long as it’s not super potent that you know it’s not what it normally smells like it’s fine. Just drink plenty of water and eat your fruits and greens

The vagina and the vulva aren’t the same. That actual hole that is the vagina cleans itself and cleaning in that hole can get rid of good healthy bacteria or introduce outside things that are too harsh for the vaginal canal and walls. Clean the vulva part but you don’t really need to douche your vagina
