If you know you don’t need the money for 6 months or 1 year, like if you’re saving up for a car, put it in a CD. if you need access to the money for emergencies put it in a savings account (try to find one with a high APY)

Stop doing unnecessary spending. Unless you absolutely need it, don’t buy it. Start putting money aside every paycheck once you’ve paid bills off

track where all that money goes. Make an excel sheet. Figure out where the unnecessary spending is and cut it. Like if you notice you spend $50 a week on McDonald’s stop going to McDonald’s and buy some chicken nuggets from the grocery store.
