Just based on the info in your post that doesn’t sound like the case? It doesn’t sound like you’re “just a body to him when he’s drunk” it sounds like he finds you attractive bc that’s what he said, and drinking lowers inhibitions and maybe he doesn’t want to get drunk and go for it and make things weird.

He has explicitly told me he doesn’t like me like that. But what I think he means is not attractive ENOUGH… like enough to fuck while drunk but not enough to want to date while sober. But maybe I’m overthinking it

Well we have both said to each other at some point in time that we find each other cute. So as to emphasize that we shouldn’t have low self esteem. It’s more a confidence thing like “dw you are cute” rather than a “I want to date you” thing

Oh yeah, he definitely wants a relationship but just not with me. And frankly I don’t want one with him either but that’s because I don’t want one at all. Not because he’s not “attractive enough.” 😭
