I remember I forgot to do it immediately after and took a nap. Didn’t pee until later and went to urgent care at 7pm for a UTI. I just can’t get myself to pee immediately unless I have to but I try to do it within the hour

for me i usually always have some sort of need to go to the bathroom after sex cause when you’re turned on or stimulated, your bladder fills with fluid

But also I don’t get it bc if people are feeling like they need to go to the bathroom after sex and that’s a normal thing I just don’t experience why are people not going to the bathroom if they feel like they have to pee

you can turn on the tap to stimulate your brain because running water has a physiological effect on the parasympathetic nervous system to make us pee….

UTIs are not an STI, they simply come from bacteria being pushed up into the urethra from the act of sex (which involves a lot of rubbing and thrusting, obviously creating conditions where bacteria can be pushed around). that can still happen even if he wears a condom, condoms are not sterile nor is the act of sex. i think its much easier to get BV/yeast infection/UTI if he doesnt wear one, but it's not protective against those things like it is against STIs or pregnancy.
