You’re the normal one here don’t worry. Expecting the man to pay for everything is wild to me (as a woman). I’d never want to feel constantly indebted to a man or be treated like a child who can’t support herself. That’s fucking embarrassing

i kinda like the idea of being a trad wife and just not having to work or worry about money and have my husband take care of everything but that's bc what im truly passionate about like what my degree is in is like something i can pursue unprofessionally, so it wouldn't be like im losing my spirit bc i hate working.

For real. Also like, i genuinely love paying for dates too? Like I love watching my partners face light up when I get him his favorite dinner or a gift or something. Yeah I want princess treatment, but only if im reciprocating it in full. Otherwise I just feel weird and the relationship feels unbalanced.

This is the mature and correct take. Of course you deserve to be spoiled and treated every so often, but it’s so fun being able to reciprocate that energy back to your partner and make him feel special, too!

Exactly. And tbh I don’t rly have anything against people who prefer a traditional model of relationships. I side eye it a bit but ultimately I love that everyone has the freedom to pursue the relationship that’s right for them. But for some reason those women go out of their way to shame and put down my relationship and it’s just like girl????
