I’d really love some ideas on how to improve the way I dress. I really only wear jeans or cargo pants with a t shirt (with a jacket or crewneck sweater when it’s cold) and sneakers. Not really sure how to step things up, especially on a budget (I’m a guy)

Flannels and jeans!!!! Easy to find thrifting and pretty easy to pull off.

And curate it based off your style and what specific pins you like, not just whatever comes up when you search men’s outfits or something. It’ll learn with you when you show it what you like

For instance, I have a gothic style. So lots of black, chains, leather etc.

I guess I don’t really know in that case but maybe something a little rugged? I’m pretty ourdoorsy and I like to work with my hands (cars and wood and stuff) and I think my fashion sense sort of reflects that. Plus I just like a more firm pant and t shirts are basic and comfortable

Ah okay. I well I still wear a lot of Carhartt things because I like the style and comfort. The Pinterest idea is definitely a good one.

Thanks! Ik Carhartt gets pretty pricey so I’ll scour thrift stores and yard sales and all that. I already spend a lot of time in those places just looking for stuff that isn’t clothes lol

They really are! I love antiques so I usually look for those and have found some absolute gems, but I’ll start looking more at the clothes section now

I do have a flannel but I certainly could upgrade that or add another one. I just hate that they’re hard to wear outside of fall and winter

Fair, but they are sexy ash tho. Graphic t-shirts would work better for summer

Sorry I didn’t mean to piss on your suggestion, it was very good and I appreciate it. I usually do wear graphic tees which just gets back to my current fashion pattern though. I love them especially bc a lot of them come from stuff I’ve done or advertise stuff I love, I just wish I could add something, esp in the warming months

Oh also with the flannel, would you recommend wearing just that buttoned up or having it unbuttoned with a tshirt underneath? I might be able to roll the sleeves up as well

I would wear a shirt underneath, mostly white shirts, even if it’s buttoned up.
