Height tends to be something women focus on a lot in dating, and another post made me think about this. Is it acceptable to say I’m 6’ when I’m really 5’ 11 3/4”? I’ve had varying answers from the few people I’ve asked

Yeah a quarter inch isn’t gonna change much lol

Yeah rounding up is fine and expected, saying you’re 5’11 3/4” would just be kinda odd

Like this is the only time it’s acceptable.

If it’s less then half inch round up- like 511 1/2 is 6 - less then 5’11 and 1/2 is just 5’11

I am 6’6 and I like to lie about my height after my friends say their height. I’ll make mine shorter though so it looks like their lying since there isn’t really a reason for me to lie

I never think about men’s height. I don’t think it’s that big a deal.

if it was 1/4 or 1/2 round down, also, if a woman you are dating is upset about a 1/4 difference in height you dont want her

Round down, stay humble

the baller move is to say 5'10 if you're almost 6'

as a girl say 5’11 it’s way more attractive to have your height be off and it not be you saying you’re taller than you are. that just says “i’m a little insecure about my height so i’m gonna lie about it”

See this is what I thought, but I have had people tell me it’s better to say I’m 5’ 11”

I mean either way is fine, ur technically closer to 6 ft so I don’t see why u wouldnt just round up lol

That’s been my whole argument😂 That a shoes will add the extra bit as well.

Ignore those people, even in math that would make sense. If you’re closer to 6ft why would you say the height you’re less close to

Oh for sure, I’ve just surprisingly had people say that I should just say 5’ 11” instead of 6’

Sorry, but why’d you comment if you don’t care?

because of the “height tends to be something women care about” part. no woman i know cares about height.

Fair enough if that’s what you’ve experienced

I do the same lol. I’m 5’11” and say I’m 5’10” and it makes the guys that say they are 6’ and are really 5’10” look short haha

your inability to correctly define gaslighting speaks volumes. it’s not gaslighting to share MY OWN personal opinion and lived experience of the women i know.

I’m confused… is 10 thinking you were gaslighting me? 💀

who knows honestly. overall i stand by what i said. i’ll never deny some women care about height but i think most women don’t, especially not to the point of it being a dealbreaker
